2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Stellenbosch Helderberg Winery

The Helderberg - which means 'Clear Mountain' stands tall and beautiful above False Bay, where the vines are planted around the mountain.
Here, the vines benefit from the porous soil and cool winds from the sea. The fields are located in Stellenbosch, probably the most classic wine region in SA, which is located outside of Cape Town. Helderberg Winery is run by wine pioneer, Marc Kent, who is one of the most respected winemakers in South Africa. Helderberg's Cabernet Sauvignon grows on slopes with eroded dolomite granite and sandstone, which contributes to an incredibly intense, yet harmonious and balanced wine, with depth, fullness and freshness.

The wine has a dark color and offers a range of aromas in the nose of dark cherries, blueberries, spices, as well as cedar and cigar box. Silky tannins embrace the ripe fruit, finishing long and beautifully in the mouth with notes of chocolate.
